Thankfully, I no longer feel this way. I now wake up refreshed with enough mental-Mom energy to get through my day.

The most important first step is being aware of the food we consume. Write down everything you eat in one day and highlight the items that are REAL foods or liquids. What is your percentage? My rule of thumb is to consume 60% or more of whole foods, and drink 70-80 ounces of water a day. Water flushes the toxic foods out of the system, while whole foods like berries, nuts, whole grains, and melon create revitalizing energy that lasts.
Last, but not least, consuming whole-food supplements and minerals has been a game changer for me. Being an adult athlete, led me to trying new supplements and never found any that truly made a difference. I was told that XYZ (loaded with caffeine and sugar) would give me energy… I realized none of that stuff mattered until I became a Mom. I was never as tired training to be an athlete as when I first became a Mom. It’s a kind of fatigue only Moms understand. All I know is, when I became a mom, these whole food supplements gave me the energy I needed without the crash or caffeine overload I had become so accustomed to.
